While most physicians view virtual medicine as traditional synchronous visits via video or phone, the reality is much broader. It encompasses asynchronous care, collaboration with advanced practitioners, leadership roles such as advisory and directorships, and opportunities to assist startups in adhering to Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) laws. Additionally, once you’ve gained expertise in the field, numerous entrepreneurial opportunities arise.
We delve into various topics, encompassing Licensing, Business Formation, Contract Details, Opportunities in Virtual Medicine, Productivity and Efficiency, Regulatory Compliance, Collaborations with NPs and PAs, Entrepreneurship, Tax Management, and Wellness.
We conduct our recorded sessions weekly and office hours through Zoom. To accommodate members residing in various time zones, the session times will alternate regularly.
Not to worry. We record all our sessions and make them available to our members through a Kajabi account and Zoom by end of day.
The weekly informal office hours are to provide accountability and mentorship. It will be a time where current and past members can ask coaches and other members their questions as they arise in real time.
We encourage a collaborative community and assist in member engagement through a private Facebook Group page and Slack to help with day-to-day questions and assigning accountability partners.
Absolutely. You can choose to continue working your main job, as opposed to having to. That stated, our more successful virtual medicine doctors started by allocating over 10 hours per week for clinical work. As your portfolio of contracts expands and income rises, you can gradually reduce your other commitments and transition between positions.

Yes, our team always looks for off-market opportunities, vet them, and negotiate the best terms for our community. As a current or past member, you will always have exclusive access to them from our team as we get them. However, we also encourage our members to search for their own job opportunities through traditional avenues using our tools to ensure compliance and fit.

The educational piece is 6-months, offering a roadmap to help you obtain national licensure, education to avoid pitfalls, practice safely, how to run your virtual practice including the business component, how to start a telehealth company, and how to leverage and negotiate good clinical and non-clinical opportunities for both compliance, flexibility, and income. We also provide continuous weekly coaching for as long as you need and place you in both a large and small community for accountability and long-term success.

Takashi Nakamura, MD

Cofounder & Academy Coach

Dr. Takashi Nakamura, MD is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with 12 years of experience practicing. With a particular focus on telehealth, he has made significant contributions in delivering essential medical services to patients, covering a broad range of specialties such as women’s and men’s health, urgent care, primary care, and more. In addition to his clinical work, he fulfills multiple roles within the digital health space. He serves as a collaborator for advanced practitioners, is both a tech and PC owner, and he is an advisor/consultant to start-ups, where his focus is to drive positive physician-centric change within the industry.

Among his many roles, Dr. Nakamura’s proudest career accomplishment is coaching his fellow physicians, many of whom were on the brink of burnout. Just last year, he successfully guided each of his colleagues through the transition from the grind of their brick-and-mortar practices to a thriving career in telemedicine. Dr. Nakamura’s profound passion for mentorship has ignited a new mission to assist as many of his counterparts as possible in attaining greater time, geographic, and financial freedom through telemedicine.

With the time and freedom telemedicine has provided, Dr. Nakamura loves to golf with his friends and travel with his family frequently. Being there for his wife and two little children is of utmost importance to him, and he makes a dedicated effort to be as present as humanly possible. 

Suneer Chander, MD

Cofounder & Academy Coach

Dr. Chander is a highly accomplished Board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician with an impressive 20-year career in various Emergency Departments across suburban, urban, and rural settings in the New England area. During the onset of the COVID pandemic, he faced a challenging situation where 40% of his working hours were no longer required. However, driven by the goal of preserving income and motivated by the potential of telemedicine, Dr. Chander swiftly transitioned into this new realm of healthcare. 

It didn’t take long for Dr. Chander to recognize the profound impact telemedicine could have on patient care. By meeting patients where they are and enhancing accessibility and affordability, he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of this approach. Always an early adopter, Dr. Chander wholeheartedly embraced telemedicine and now holds licenses in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. He currently serves as a medical director at Wisp, a leading Women’s Health company. He also works for several other platforms and provides clinical care in areas such as lifestyle medicine, HIV PREP, weight loss, urgent care, and workmen’s comp.

Dr. Chander takes great pride in his ability to adapt to new challenges and his strong commitment to mentorship. However, what truly fills him with the greatest sense of pride and joy are his loving wife and three wonderful daughters, who keep him grounded and inspired every day. When he’s not dedicated to patient care, Dr. Chander also enjoys live music, yoga, and golf in his free time.

With over two decades of experience working at the admin level for top healthcare executives, Diana brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to our organization. One of her main goals is to support physicians in making the most of AIR’s resources and tools. 

Diana has a sincere passion to develop others and see them succeed. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing others doing well and living a genuinely happy life. She enjoys collaborating with others and appreciates the opportunity to come up with new, innovative ideas/approaches to challenges (especially in the operational setting within healthcare).

In Diana’s spare time, she enjoys anything creative – music, singing, dancing, art – and is also kept busy by her three daughters, two dogs, and husband. Family is the most important aspect in her life, and spending quality time with them is of utmost priority.
